Three stars to the Daily Star for turning the civil war in Iraq into a 50 cent song.
"Baghdad cabbie dodges suicide bombers and trigger-happy convoys."
Äpprently Dhia "wasn't a streetwise cabbie in the days before a US-led force invaded Iraq four years ago - he once had a taxi taken off him at gunpoint - he certainly is now."
Okay so I understand that the US has invaded Iraq, but is that The Daily Star's excuse for writing this ridiculous headline, using these ridiculous American colloquialisms?
Who in Iraq (or lebanon for that matter) calls a taxi driver a "cabbie''?? And trigger happy convoys? Apparently that's all there is to all this violence, murder and bloodshed in Iraq- trigger happy convoys, hip to the hippity hip hop. Ugh!
